Judith Adams Lagana is the founder and co-editor of River Heron Review and writes under the pen name of J. Adams Lagana.
Her poetry has appeared in Atlanta Review, the Paterson Literary Review, Naugatuck River Review, and is forthcoming in formercactus. Her writing has also been recognized by the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Foundation. She has written short stories and is at work on the sixth draft of her novel. She is an active member of the Bucks County poetry community.
Judith has successfully led writing workshops and taught writing to individuals of all ages. She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Rutgers University. During her ongoing and long career as the Academic Supervisor for the Art, English, and Music departments with the Freehold Regional High School District, she has also been instrumental in developing programs and practices that emphasize poetry and creative writing.
A certified Amherst Artists and Writers (AWA) writing workshop leader and affiliate, she runs AWA writing workshops online and in the Bucks County, Pennsylvania area.
Judith lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania with her husband, Tony, their son, Anthony, and their adopted retired racing greyhound.
